However, it is a new initiative for DRUG ARM and one we would like the corporate community and their staff to consider supporting. The process of allowing staff to support a Workplace Giving program is relatively simple, and it allows employees to donate to DRUG ARM from their salaries, in PRE-TAX dollars. What are the benefits for a company establishing a Workplace Giving program with DRUG ARM? By establishing a Workplace Giving program it makes life easier for employees to participate, and your company is contributing to the social wellbeing of communities through DRUG ARM who is helping to make a real difference. Once established, a Workplace Giving program provides companies with a low cost way to support employee engagement in the community. DRUG ARM has served the community for 150 years, through its dedication to reducing harm associated with alcohol and other drugs. We currently provide services to over 60,000 contacts in three states, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia, with an incredible 75,000 cups of tea and coffee served by our volunteers each year! Information for Employers Payroll deductions through Workplace Giving are a very effective way for individuals to donate on a regular basis to DRUG ARM in their own particular State. An in-house Workplace Giving program is delivered through your company payroll system. Your company’s payroll team is responsible for contacting and providing the donations directly to DRUG ARM. Through Workplace Giving, your Company can build reputation and profile in the community to become an ‘Employer of Choice’. Workplace Giving is a simple way to enhance your business’ involvement in the community, with clear business, employee and community benefits. Company Matching Gifts Program Companies can enhance their own staff’s Workplace Giving program. This can be done by the company electing to implement a matching gift program. This is an incentive for the company’s staff to donate through the company Workplace Giving program, and so double the funds raised for DRUG ARM. Information for Individual Donors Payroll Donations through a Workplace Giving program is a very effective way of individual donors being able to make a regular weekly donation to DRUG ARM. The nominated amounts you choose to donate are deducted from your pay each week, and are fully tax deductible at the end of each financial year. At all times your privacy is fully respected and we will not use your name to contact you outside of your employment. You have the opportunity to stop your payroll deduction or change your donation from time to time as you choose. It does not cost you anything to become a member of the Workplace Giving, Payroll Deduction program. You can commence by pledging to give as little as $2.00 per week.
